A Virgin River Novel
John “Preacher” Middleton is about to lose the bar whan a young women and her three-year-old son come in out of the wet October night. A marine who has seen his share of pain, Preacher knows a crisis when he sees one- the woman is covered in bruises. He wants to protect them, and he wants to punish whoever did this to her, but he knows immediately that this inclination to protect is something much more. Paige Lassister has stuirred up emotions in this gentle giant of a man- emotions that he has never allowed himself to feel.
But when Paige’s ex-husband turns up in Virgin River, Preacher knows his own future hangs in the balance. And if there’s on thing that marines’ moot to Semper Fidelis- always faithful- has taught him, it’s that some things are worth fighting for.
Robyn Carr brings you into Virgin River and makes you feel like you are right there with them. This is my first time reading any of Robyn Carr’s books and I have to tell you that she quickly make you love her and pulls you right into the book and makes you feel right at home. I can tell you I will be reading a lot more of her books.
Preacher falls quickly for Paige but you can just sense that he does not think the feelings are the same. You will not believe some of the things that Preacher and Paige go through to keep afloat. Paige is ready to run away at the drop of a dime and who can blame her. You meet amazing characters in this book and you truly feel like you are sitting at the bar with them enjoying the scenery.
I love how the book leaves off right where the next book”Whispering Rock” picks up.
This is a must read book for anyone that loves a good romance and small town living.

The Sheriff Takes a Wife
By Debbie Macomber
“The first day Christy Manning, visits her sister, Taylor, she meets Sheriff Cody Franklin. To Christy’s shock – and Cody’s- they’re immediately attracted to each other. Intensely attracted. There’s a problem though, Christy’s engagement to someone else, someone back in Seattle. So what’s the solution? See what happens when The Sheriff takes a wife….”
I truly love a good series. The Book the Manning sisters starts off with a great book Called “The Cowboy’s Lady.” And this picks right up where that book left off but focusing on Taylor’s sister Christy and the Sheriff Cody. Debbie has outdone herself with this book. Through the whole book you wonder if Christy and Cody are going to hook up or if she is going to end up marrying James. Once she returns to Seattle you are sure that she will end up marrying James out of obligation instead of love, but Cody just cannot love the one person he has ever loved with his whole heart. Cody goes to Seattle and …….. Yes I am going to leave you in suspense. This is one book you are going to have to read because it does not end how you think it will.
In The Manning Sisters you briefly meet the Manning brothers. Well Guess what. We get to meet the Manning Brothers and their brides. I cannot wait to meet them and get to know that brothers better.
“Debbie Macomber is an amazing author with a power to bring you right into the setting like you are there. Debbie brings me into a small town and makes you feel like part of the town and family you are reading about. Another Great book Debbie. And I can ‘t wait for the next one.”

The Cowboy’s Lady
By Debbie Macomber
When Taylor Manning accepts a teaching job in Cougar Point, Montana, she discovers that life there is very different from life in Seattle. So are the men! She soon notices a handsome opinionated, stubborn rancher named Russ Palmer, and he notices her. In fact, they more than notice each other … After only a few months, Taylor’s certain of one thing. Despite their conflicting backgrounds, she’d love to be THE COWBOY’S Lady.
I have to say I loved this book. I love the relationship that Taylor and Russ build along the way. They start out not the best of friends but not the worst of enemies. Russ’s sister has a lot to do with the relationship and it truly jerks a heart string to see her bring the two of them together. After finishing up this story I could not wait to get on to the next story “The Sheriff Takes A Wife.” It picks up right where this books leaves off but follows Taylor’s sister and the Sheriff.
Come back next week to find out about THE SHERIFF TAKES A WIFE.
