Shay is the youngest of a demon-hunting family and wonders if her angel hero is a angel or a demon.  As the story goes on Ajax continues to have to rescue Shay until the tables are turned and it is up to Shay to rescue her angel in disguise.

As Ajax and shay rush to solve the mysterious prophesy, a prophesy that will lead to Ajax’s death if they don’t succeed, they begin to fall deeper into love and Shay soon realizes that she can not live without her Ajax.

Deidre kept me turning the pages and I got to the point where I could not put the book down because I had to know what happened next.  There is adventure, passion and mystery in the book and that is just the type of books I love to read.  The best part is that this is the first book in the series A God of Midnight Novel.

Book two ~ The Mortal Instruments

Clary Fray’s life is anything but normal. Now that she is a shadowhunter and her mom is in a coma due to a magical spell that was placed on her, and she can see downworlders such as faeries, and vampires, Clary just wishes that she could go back the her normal life before all this happened. Now that Simon and Clary are become more then just friends she wants the normal life more then ever. But the shadowhunters are not wanting to let her go. Clary has only one hope to save her mother, to hunter down her rogue, insane, evil, shadowhunter father Valentine. And to make things worse someone or something is killing downworlders in New York, and Valetine might be behind it all.

When the Soul-Sword is stolen the Inquisitor is sure that Jace is teaming up with thier father Valentine. And then Clary thinks things could not get worse then the worst of the worst happens to Simon. Can Clary hand off of this and figure out how to get to Valentine if her brother Jace is helping him.

Clary has a wonderful spark about her that just draws you in and helps bring you into her world. She is a character that feels out of place, like many teenagers do. She is someone I remember being when I was a teenager.

I really like this book. It was one of those books that you pick up and have a hard time setting it down. And when you do set it down all ou can think about is getting back to it to see what happens next. There is something new and exciting happening around every corner.

Clary Fray a typical teenager is headed into a New York City Club not expecting anything but to have a good time. But she finds herself in much more then she expect. Just when Clary is ready to call the police to report a murder, the body disappears and to make matters worse she is the only one that can see the three teenagers that committed the murder. Clary unsure what to do begins to talk to the three teenagers and finds out that she has a supernatural ability to see, demons, shadowhunters, fairys and much more.

Clary returns home full of confusion to find out that her mother is acting weird and later comes up missing. All in one night Clary fights and kills a demon, is worried sick about her mother and passes out on her front lawn staring into the face of a beautiful boy marked with strange tattoos. Clary awakens later to find out that she has been out for three days and she and her new found friends must fight demons, save the world and save her Mother from the Evil Valentine who died years ago.

Clary unsure what to do or how to handle her new ability turns to her new friends the shadowhunters for help. With demons all around them and after something only Clary can find, Clary decides it is time to take matters into her own hands and user her abilities instead of feel hateful about all the lies her mother told her growing up.

What will Clary do and how will she handle finding out her whole life is one big lie?

Cassandra Clare spins a tale of love, demons and lies into a beautifully told story that keeps you up late at night because you just can’t put the book down until you find out what happens next.

Twilight

By Stephenie Meyer

When I first thought about reading the Twilight series I was not too sure if I was going to like it.  Both my children had read Twilight and could not put it down.  Before my kids had read Twilight I had not even heard of the Novel much less had any interest in reading the book.  Now I have to admit once I picked up Twilight by Stephenie Meyers I could not put it down.  The book keep me interest from the start until the finish and once I was finished Twilight I was ready to pick up the next book in the series. Below you will find a short review of the book and thoughts at the end.

Bella decides it is time to go and live with her Dad for a while in the small town of Fork where the sun never shines and they says always seem gray.  After the first day of school Bella has made a new friends, a boy hate her and a boy hot on her heels.

But after a few weeks of school she is sure of two things.  One she can not stay away from Edward who is sure positive is a vampire and two she want to find out as much as she can about vampires, Edward and Edwards family.  Plus she starts to notice that Edward is always there when she gets herself into trouble.

It all comes down to will Edward be able to get her out of the last mess she has gotten herself into or will he have to leave town to get away from her?

Stephenie Meyer is an amazing author who keeps you on your toes and wondering what is going to happen next and who is hiding around the next corner.  She finds a way to make Vampires and love seem normal.  Not even halfway into the first chapter of this book I could not put it down.  I had to now what kind of trouble Bella was going to get into next and how she was going to get out of it.

New Moon is the next book in the Twilight Series.
